Fresh Floral Workshop: Flower Crowns with Shelby Doyle of Ida Flora Detroit

Entry Level Class—No experience necessary, however you must be 14 or older

Love flowers? Why not wear them! This might just be our prettiest workshop ever!

Just in time to enjoy the prime of summertime blossoms, we'll be creating unique wearable compositions of wild grapevine and fresh florals grown by Shelby herself! You'll take home a gorgeous headpiece and the know-how to continue creating gorgeous floral arrangements for wearing to special events, parties, weddings, and more! 

You'll also learn about about the surprising longevity of flowers out of water and preservation methods to turn your unique piece into a dried floral wreath for your home.

About the Instructor:

Shelby is a farmer-florist based in Detroit, MI. She has found a home with Beaverland Farms where she grows an abundance of blooms and designs through her own business, Ida Flora Detroit. She believes in working with your natural environment and appreciates the emotional connection we have to flowers. She can often be found covered in dirt, mesmerized by the depth of color found in nature.
